Facility Management

Here I showcase my facility management experience in visualizations, space management, and 3D modeling. This portfolio entry features examples of how visualizations can be used to facilitate design review and decision-making, such as showcasing the inconspicuous placement of an emergency generator to support two buildings. Additionally, I have included my contributions to maintaining and updating the GIS and Archibus asset databases to track space usage and department ownership and my involvement in creating a 3D SketchUp model of the University of Illinois.

In this project, I generated visualizations of internal design proposals to facilitate design review and decision making. Specifically, I created a virtual environment showcasing the proposed site for an emergency generator to support two buildings. The goal was to demonstrate how inconspicuous the generator can be in the space.

This portfolio entry showcases the use of visualizations to aid in design review and decision making. Specifically, it includes examples of internal design proposals for a university's graduate assistant offices. The project involved using disassembled existing cubicle walls and furniture in a way that accommodated over 50 desks in the space.

I contributed to maintaining the GIS and Archibus asset databases that track space usage and department ownership. This involved verifying the accuracy of existing floor plans and space information through surveys and compiling booklets for each department, such as the campus airport.

I was involved in maintaining the GIS and Archibus asset databases that track space usage and department ownership. This involved field measuring and documenting buildings and spaces owned by the university that had no existing records or floor plans, in order to establish accurate records.

Maintaining GIS and Archibus sometimes involved analyzing, field-measuring, and documenting sites for new small projects undertaken by the university.

I contributed to the ongoing creation of a 3D SketchUp model of the University of Illinois. This included combining photographs, plans, elevations, and sections to construct each individual building within the campus.
