Frederick High School
GWWO designed the new Frederick High School in 2012. The Board of Education decided to build a new school on the same site. The design focuses on community engagement, 21st-century educational trends, and flexibility, while recalling the previous building's historical significance. The school features a central core, technical learning spaces for various subjects, an auditorium, gym, media center, and administrative areas. The building is expected to achieve LEED Silver certification, with construction completed in 2017, and demolition of the old school and site amenities built in 2018.

Burdick Hall Rec Center
Towson University's Burdick Hall underwent a major expansion over three levels to transform it into a modern facility that encourages student interaction and fosters a sense of community. Prior to the expansion, the University worked with GWWO to develop the program for the facility with major goals such as creating an identity for Campus Recreation Services, enhancing architectural character, maximizing natural light and views, promoting campus connectivity, and integrating sustainable features. The addition faces south with an east-west orientation to maximize exposure for daylighting and views. Various recreation program spaces are located along the south side to allow students to view activities within the building from the pedestrian walk beyond. The exterior glazing, windows, and balconies were coordinated to maximize views and natural daylighting.
